Wiring Harness???

Well here I am again five years later with a different truck. This time I have a 1996 Z71 and wanted to be proactive and just go ahead and change out the actuator. Bought the kit and then it all went down hill.

The old one came right out and new one in without issue. The new harness plugged into the actuator no issue but the other plug / connector (blue/black wires) did not match up and would not plug in. So I cut the old connector off the old actuator and spliced it into the new harness. Didn't see any issues, two wire to a two wire. Checked the continuity and all is good.

Ran it back to the transfer case as I have done with two other trucks of this style (95&97). I was looking for the switch / connector on top of the transfer case to splice into the brown wire. My other two trucks had the brown wire in the middle of two other wires and worked without any issues.

This truck had the brown on the outside with a blue other the other outside and a white with grey strip on it. I tried to splice into the brown and the white and grey separately but no luck.

I did see this video on the internet where the guy goes through the firewall. I tried this without luck also.
