K&N Drycharger filter wraps

I live in an especially dusty region, so I got the K&N Drycharger filter wrap for $45 from Performance Products.  It's pricey but I wanted the extra protection from dust and water.  The dust is mainly what I'm worried about.  Anyhow it says it's only supposed to restrict airflow 10%, and in comparison to what you get with the STOCK airbox, you still get a lot more airflow.

 

The throttle response is not remotely noticeable different.  So, I say it's worth it if you need the protection, or if you have been putting off getting an FIPK because you know it would get dirty or wet, now you can get one.

 

Plus they come in a few different colors... yellow, red, and I think black and blue.  I got yellow of course :]
