2013 GMC 2500hd 6.0 won't shift into M

New member here with a new to me truck.

 

I just got a 2013 2500hd SLT with the 6.0. It won't shift into M? The column shifter has a position past D and the D indicator turns off once you have moved the lever past the D position but the M mode doesn't come on? Am I doing something wrong? Is there an adjustment for this shifter somewhere that I can do myself?

Do you have warranty remaining ? Use it , if not , it's either the NSBU switch or the cluster or or or , ya can't guess bud

Sadly no warranty left. I guess I'll have to get it looked at.

Happy day, I climbed under the truck to have a look see and found that the shift lever on my trans had taken a hit and was bent causing it to not have full range of motion. (This is a 6L90) I straightened it back out and now my trans is shifting how it is supposed to.
