quick question installing lift!!!

For anyone who has PERSONALLY installed a lift on the new Sierra or Silverado 1500 4x4, I'm wondering how you got the front passenger side mounting bolt out for the front differential. I'm installing a mcgaughys lift and the instructions are terrible! It's too tight to get in there with anything because of the motor on the rack.. trying not to remove the rack if possible. The instructions simply say, remove the 4 bolts holding the diff in, and it's just not quite that easy, nor do they mention anything about having to remove the rack lol thanks for your help.

  It did on mine. Completed 3 jobs front and back with no issues whatsoever. First time I put it in service mode without my scan tool, did fine. Next 2 were with the aid of my scan tool to put it in service mode, same result. So I would definitely say it doesn’t hurt at all being that most are equipped with electronic braking/calipers.

  Starting to hear some sketchy unverified rumors about the next gen. HD's, which some are saying should debut late next year: Revised Duramax (some say will still be a 6.6L) and a new gasoline engine, possibly an iron-block Gen VI of unknown displacement. It seems that the Gen. VI's can accommodate a longer stroke than the current Gen. V, so read into that what you will. Revised chassis also featuring the new E-coat as the light duty 2027's will have. The current HD chassis dates to 2011 with a few minor modifications over the years. A medium duty 4500/5500/6500 derivative that will replace the current Silverado Medium Duty. The next gen. HD's will possibly be built at Flint and Oshawa, and medium duty production will move to a GM plant from the International plant, which is in the process of closing. Post whatever HD rumors you hear and we'll see how accurate they turn out to be!

  Installed mine today. Wasn't bad at all, took about 15-20mins or so, had to get up off the ground and get a socket or two so that took some time. But yeah, not bad.
