engine swap difficulty

I'm wondering how difficult it is to swap the engine out on a 94 gmc 1500. IF i took the front clip off would it be faster? and can it be done in a 2 or 3 day weekend? i have an engine ready to be put in

Taking the front clip off would be overkill. I swapped my 96 engine in about 6 hours. However, I've swapped a few dozen engines and have a good assortment of specialty tools that help out.

Should be quick either way.

That is a pretty easy swap. I would expect about an hour to get old one out, another hour- hour and a half to clean and swap parts. Another hour or so setting back in and rehooking components. At home on the floor should still only be about 6 hours total, if you have a hoist and proper tools 4-5

The reason I was going to take th front clip off was so I can take the body lift out. I have no Idea if that would be the easiest way to do it so if any of you have a suggestion that would be appreciated
