2500hd going from American Eagle 145s back to stock rims?

2004 GMC 2500HD

 

Hi! My truck has 16 inch American Eagle 145 rims (8 lug obviously) and 265 75 R16 tires. The rims are really UGLY in my opinion. But I do like the stance and the tires.

 

I'd like to go to stock 16 inch alloy rims. Anyone know how much of a difference it will be as far as back spacing and such?

its about a 2in difference, front wheel will be just under the edge of the fender and the rear wheel will be tucked in pretty far

 

this is with 245/75/16 and steel rims, alloys may slightly wider stance but not sure

 

these are dodge rims, they are 1/2 wider but the offset is about 1/4 inch different, i had to add spacers to the front to keep the 285s from rubbing on the control arm and the rear cause it looked funny tucked in so far

if you look close at the front wheel here it'll be about the same as factory stance, spacer is on the rear already

Thanks man that helps. Looks like stock rims would be a significant change. I think I'll shop around for some wheels that are closer to what I have now.

The factory alloys are only 6.5" wide, with a +31mm offset...so that's going to be a much more conservative look than what you're currently running.
