Since I work at a dealership, I've been working with the new 2014 Silverados. One thing I notice about them that I really like is the green light that shines down from the overhead console down into the storage compartment.

 

Lets move to my '09 Silverado. I would like to install some kind of small, LED possibly, lighting behind the interior light lenses that are controlled with the dash lights. I'm thinking of doing to both the front and back interior lights so there would be a soft light in the cab.

 

1. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of lights to use that would match the green hue the factory dash lights give off?

 

2. Would it possible to tap into the power lead that powers the lights for the garage door opener buttons?
