Anyone know if you can get the 3rd row seat in a new Z71 Tahoe?  Can"t get it to take the option on the Chevy website ???

Yes, you can now get it, but you are right, it is not in the options for a z71 on the chevy website (at least when I was on last).  In fact, every single z71 tahoe at the dealership I was looking at had the 3rd row seat and 2nd row captains chairs.  Also, for the z71s that I saw, the steering wheel - mounted controls were not part of the z71 package, but were part of the "personal security package" which included side impact air bags, on-star and homelink.  So, the z71 package was reduced in price, but the personal security package was something in the neighborhood of 800 dollars.

Anyways, when all is added (3rd row, 2nd row captains, and all the goodies) it came to a total of over 46k.  A little bit more than I wanted to pay.   I can almost get an H2 for that price....

All Z71's come standard with liftgate / third row seating.  Apparently second row bucket seats are now standard, too.

Any Tahoe equipped with second row buckets will have the third row seating as well.  GM has a problem with a vehicle this size seating only four persons.

The only way for a Tahoe to have the 3rd seat is if it has the rear liftgate.  If you have the dual rear doors, you can't get the rear seat.
