Bad Fuel Injectors?

Recommended Posts

There is a sort of ticking noise my truck is making.  It sounds like a piece of plastic being stuck into a fan.  It is notible when the heater and radio is off.  You can only hear it inside the cab or with the hood open.

When I take the filter cover off, and look at the fuel injectors, it seems to be coming from that area.  I have cleaned them and also taken the belt off to see if it was coming from any of the pumps etc. running off of the belt.

Any ideas on what it could be?  If it is likely the injectors are bad, what can I expect to pay?

This is on a 1995 k2500 with 5.7L.  I will probably take it to my mechanic, just wanted to see if anyone had any info first.

Thanks

Ryan

I don't think it's the exhaust.  I just had it redone.  It doesn't quite sound like it would come from that either.

Any more guesses?
