Interior lights flashing -- anyone know why?

My 2014 Sierra Regular Cab white interior lights (up in the headliner, pointing down at the cabin) flash when the truck is in drive, the headlights are on, and I touch the brakes or put on the left turn signal!

They flash whether they are turned to the setting so they work when the door opens, or when they are turned off completely.

I have them taped over with 100 mph tape so I can drive the truck at night.

It has been doing it since day #1 (actually, night #1).

Any idea what causes this? Anyone else have this problem?

Off to the dealer it goes next week, when I have time -- unless someone has a solution.

Thanks.

It looks like I am alone in having this problem! No posts in response over the past week.

That is not good -- well, it is good for y'all, but it is not providential for me -- because that means you don't have any recommendations for me, and the GM dealer won't have any experience fixing this particular gremlin.

I checked the rear lights and made sure all connections and bulbs were good.

My solution to date has been to tape over the interior lights. I've added a small flashlight to my key chain so I can look for things on the floor of the truck. Doesn't seem right...

Next stop is the GM dealer, after the holidays.
