Air Bag Issue / Code B0014

Truck has had a recurring issue with Code B0014, drivers "side" air bag high resistance. ( Same as the recall on the passenger side air bag but on the drivers side seat ) First time this happened a couple months ago I called the dealer and they tried telling me that they had to connect it to their laptop to read the codes cause a scanner wouldn't read the air bag codes on the 14 and up trucks. HA, what a crock. I understand that the average scanner probably wouldn't but my Mentor Touch reads it just fine. Long story short, after giving them the code and a lot of grief, they scheduled a loaner vehicle for the next day and kept mine for 2- 1/2 days trying to find the problem which they admit they couldn't. They cleared the code and returned it. Last weekend it came back with a vengeance, giving me warning after warning for three days. Upon going in to the dealer Monday morning they checked the code and verified that it's the same as before. they cleared it and said they will have to completely disassemble the drivers seat to find the problem but can't get to it till after the holidays.

My real question is, has anyone else had an issue with the drivers "side" air bag? I love this truck and can't think of any real complaints with it but this is annoying because it's a safety issue versus some trivial thing.

Yup. Same problem here. Different code than I got. At dealer now fir 3rd time in 4 days. Told them I feel unsafe driving it with an air bag issue. They keep saying it is a bad connections. What A Pile Of crap. Asked about gm buying it back and was told it's a very hard to do. So sent gm an email on all issues with this truck. 8 visits for warranty issues and over 6 recalls. Worst purchase ever..also contacting BBB lemon law. See what they say
