issues with side mirror switch

So just got an 08 silverado 1500 nice truck love it but the control to adjust the mirrors will only move them left or down, on both the driver and passenger side so pretty sure its the switch thats bad wondering if maybe someone with a little more experience may be able to shed some light on it before i go off and buy a new one

The switch comes out of the plastic bezel easily. You can take the switch apart, and clean the contacts with electronic cleaner instead of replacing the switch. Those switches come apart easily. I added a light to the one on my Sierra.
