Spark plug indexing

Recommended Posts

Spark plug indexing refers to installing each plug so the opening between the electrodes is in the same position relative to the twelve o'clock position.  I used to do this years ago on a '69 Z-28 I owned, thinking it evened out the power developed from cylinder to cylinder.  Does it help?  Maybe on highly tuned engines, but I doubt it makes much difference on a daily driver.  Could be wrong, but I'm not going to take the time to find out.
