I have noticed that something feels a little loose when stopping and starting.  As I take off from a stand still It feels like there is a little bit of play.  Not a lot but I feel it.  Now I hear nothing clunking so I am not sure if it is the Slip Youk or what ever it is called.  And when stopping it almost feels like the ABS is kicking in as I slow down.  Could this be because of the breaks needing to be replaced?  Or is it a bad sensor?  Any and all help is appreciated.

You're probably feeling some drivetrain backlash.  The driveline is most likely bound when you stop, and then when you step on the gas the rear of the truck drops a little as the rear axle twists the other way, and a little bit of slop is taken out of the universals.

ABS has been known to be activated on slightly rougher roads as the rear wheels bounce a little.  I'd check your tire pressure and see if it helps.

The yoke will give you a clunk when starting and stopping.  The ABS will kick on if you're going a bit quick(not too fast really) over some bumps while trying to stop for a light or turn.  I've kind of adjusted my driving in the areas around home to allow me to either slow before the bump or let off the brakes then re-apply after the bump.  Ridiculous that these trucks are like that for the $ we put down.

Shanners that makes a lot of sence.  Now with the breaks it is on smooth surfaces.  It is below 10 mph.  I think it might be because of poorly adjusted breaks.  I am replacing everything except the calipers and drums this weekend.  If I still have the problem I will bring it to the dealer.
