Towing Capacity for 2500 non-HD

I downloaded an electronic copy of my owner's manual and looked up the towing rating of the different models. My confusion is from the fact that the only 2500's with 4wd listed are for the HDs. I haven't been able to find much under Google, except general information but nothing specific. Does someone have any insight as to what my towing capacity might be for a 2000 Chevy 2500 (non-HD) 4wd, 3.73 gears?

Nope sure doesn't. All I see for weights is my GVWR. It doesn't even have payload amount which I found odd.

The Sierra 1500 2 wheel drive model with the Vortec 4800 can tow 800 pounds more than last year's model for a total of 7800 pounds. This is for models with the 3.73 axle ratio and trailer towing package.
The Sierra 1500 2 wheel drive model with the Vortec 5300 can tow 600 pounds more that last year's model for a total of 8800 pounds. This is also for the 3.73 axle ratio models
The Sierra 2500 2 wheel drive model with the Vortec 6000 can tow 700 pounds more than last year's model for a total of 11,200 pounds. This is for models with the 4.10 axle rating and trailering package

Hmm, I'll check mine and see what it says. It's only a year newer than yours, so should be the same. 2500 NON-HD?

Yeah I've been reading & it looks like the 2000 didn't offer the "HD" for the new body style, but did starting in 2001.

Mine has 3.73 gears, not 4.10s & is 4wd. So the listed 2500 on pickuptrucks.com doesn't help me but thanks for the info.

Well I did find that I have the original window sticker. It says it's an HD, but I did confirm that it only has the semi-float rear end. I know there was another thread awhile back asking about 2500 vs 2500HD of the 2000 so now I guess I'm just as confused as the other guy is. I did however find the sticker for the payload rating. It was in the glove box vs a sticker in the door jamb area. So now I know my payload is ~2100lbs but still trying to figure out towing.
