OK everyone, here's the plan

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of one plan for peace. " Books, not Bombs" won't work. The head mullahs won't let anyone read them. If they do, they poke their eyes out.

Here's the plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini and the rest of them 'good old boy's. We will never "interfere"again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there anyway. We would station troops at our borders and airports. No more sneaking through holes in the (Bureaucratic) fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. Of course, France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and strictly limited to 90 days (unless given a special permit). No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the usually bombers. If they don't attend classes, or if they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and all other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, they can go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah, Budda or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides' most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Pacodiablo hit the nail on the head. Some third-world country would become jealous of our prosperity and try and pull another 9/11.

I do like the idea of no more immigration though!

Don't mean to sound like a "bleeding heart", but if someone sincerely wanted to start a free life here in America, they are damned well Welcome to in my book.

As long as they get the Green card and learn to abide by our laws, of course.

Your plan would sure as h-e-l-l would be nice, but there is no way some would go for it, "It goes against our constitution" or some other Oh well, not worth getting on a soap box...

That's what a lot of our problems and conflicts stem from...jealousy at the US lifestyle.

Yeah, basically w/ respect to most of the world, the US is screwed if we get involved, and screwed if we don't. Many will look down on us regardless of how much good we do - and frankly the US does WAY more good than bad in this world.

There are more than a few countries (I don't need to name them) that need to think back to their recent histories, and how we saved their a$$es - more than once!!

11.) English must be spoken as a FIRST language. Legal aliens (politically correct term) will be given a set amount of time to learn the language....fail and you're out!!

12.) English must be spoken in public, a fine or jail time would be enforced if caught speaking any other language BUT! Speak your langauge in the privacy of your own home, this is America, this is were you live, we speak ENGLISH here!!!!

While it sounds good, and would be nice it could never work in reality.

U.S. isolation is a big part of why we had the Great Depression, which was a worldwide phenomenon that started in Germany. Failure to stay involved politically and diplomatically would cause a crash to our economy which is the world economy.

I like what you are saying...it would be nice. But on this... point people would have to mow their own lawns(I think Tim and one other guy on our street does thier own lawn), clean their own houses, who would pull all the vegetables and fruit? Who would clean all those hotel rooms? I would love to see an American hold down one of these jobs. I know they do somewhere...but I have never seen it. Just a thought...

P.s. Don't take that with sarcasim...that is not the way I ment it.

That's kinda a touchy subject. If those imigrants weren't doing those jobs maybe people like me would have a job

Most companies would rather hire cheap labor just do get jobs done, regardless of training and experience. Doesn't sit well with me...

That is kind of extreme...it violates the first and fourteenth amendments I believe.
