Almost impossible to fuel up and code P0466, but evap checks ok.

I have my 2008 Silverado for 2 weeks now and i am learning every day.

I am running into 2 problems that seem connected but can not find the cause.

 

I am from the Netherlands and my truck runs on liquid gas.

The system starts on petrol and when warm switches over to gas.

So once in a while i have to get some petrol, i have tried 3 different stations but the nozzle shuts off immediately.

It takes five minutes to get one gallon in.

 

Another problem i have is that i am getting a P0466 now and then.

After reading a lot here i checked the evap solenoid valve if is would be stuck shut.

If i take the hose of the canister an blow through the hoses and the solenoid it is open.

 

I can also blow through the canister, there is a little bit of resistance but i assume that is normal.

 

So i am out of options on the bad refueling.

 

The P0466? I heve no idea how to locate the source of that code.

You have to get service information and follow the code chart or throw parts at it

Check your purge valve make sure it's working

Throw some parts at it , you won't listen to me about diagnosing it !!!!! So toss away , it's called "shotgun auto repair"

That is not it.

I still have warranty on the truck so i won't be throwing any parts at it.

Is this a manufactures dual system of was the system done by an aftermarket conversion company?

And the warranty comes out .... And you don't trust your dealership ,

Understanding it is for you to tell them ( the people you don't trust ) how to fix it ,

 

Tell me I'm wrong ,

 

People here can tell you what to check but we don't know your skill level at all ... And enter a special tool into it and it stops there .... Get me ? .

 

I'm ranting now .... Not worth it . You wasted my time because you're paranoid ( under warranty yet) lol

I already called the dealer and we discussed that it wasn't a dangerous situation.

I told him that i would already try to find out what could cause these problems.

i'll just make the appointment so that he will have to find the solution himself.

It is an aftermarket system that does work together with the existing computer.

That is what i can try for the code part of it.
