Where can I go to find out all of the recalls on my truck?  I have a slight clunk in the rear drive train.  A co worker with a 98 Hoe said that his was recalled for the rear diff.  The Diff fluid was not viscus enough.  It was covered because it was a recall.  I would like to find out ASAP since I am driving to Buffalo next week.  Would like to get it all taken care of before.  Thanks.

I took mine to the dealer and hey replaced the yolk with a nickel plated one. There are many post on here about it. Some say just chenging the rear end fluid from red to blue does the trick. Its just a little slack, but very annoying, makes you think the tranny is going kaput!    :smash:

Go with Autotrak II fluid ,Autotrak II P# 12378505. The yolk fixed alot of people on here though, but the fluid did too. And it is covered under warranty. Do a search for "smurf fluid" in engine/trans specific section over past year. I have already been throught this problem. Also, we have an Amsoil dealer here that will give ya the hook ups. The chevy dealer knows what to do. Just call them, I think this is a very common problem. Good Luck.  :smash:

Thanks.  I think that I will be changing all fluids.  TC, Front and rear Diffs.  Tranny looks good so I will keep that for now.  Is it easy to change everything?  Can I buy the fluids I need at a local store.  I should I buy the AMSOIL here and the "Blue" from dealer?  Is Autotrack II the real name for the "Smurf Fluid"?
