Clocked92 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I drove my truck to work this morning and noticed a squeak/rubbing that I hadn't heard before. I got to work and started pushing down on my seat to see if I could recreate it. If I push down on the outside bolsters on the bottom of the seat, it squeaks where it meets the plastic where the seat controls are. It does it along the entire seat bolster but nowhere else. Anyone else have this or have a fix for it?

Anyone else have this or have a fix for it? Yep, had this problem in my Denali shortly after picking it up. Annoyed me something fierce. I solved it by taking some clear PTFE/Teflon sticky tape I had laying around, and sticking it on the side edge of the plastic so the bolster rubs up on. You can push the bolster back away from the trim and have a good amount of room to work without removing anything. The tape in question http://www.amazon.com/CS-Hyde-Optically-Silicone-Adhesive/dp/B000REI90W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428934718&sr=8-1. If you don't have that, I am willing to bet some good old clear Scotch tape will do the trick as well.
Clocked92 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 Thanks I'll give this a try. I can't figure out if it's always been making the noise or if I just noticed it the other day. If I fix this and take out the stupid rattling clip in my sunglass holder my truck will be pretty much dead quiet.
