Hawk brake pads part number

Hello.

After spending a lot of time today on this site searching through threads, on the phone with Hawk Performance and on the AC Delco website for cross referencing part numbers, Hawk cant give me a for sure part number for rear pads. I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 Z71 with the dual piston calipers. The part # the Hawk site suggest dosent seperate the single piston caliper pad vs. the dual piston caliper pad which we know is bigger.

Has anyone else put these pads on their truck and if so, what is the correcrt part #?

Wouldn't the pads off a suburban of the same year be the same?

I used rockauto and checked rear calipers between a 04 Surburban 1500 and a 04 Silverado 1500 and the dual rear calipers that are on the Silverado's with duals match the part # for the same part on the Suburbans meaning they use the same rear brakes. Part # for Hawk LTS is HB496Y.640.

Wait until others can verify though before you order anything.

Thank you 15HDriver, but those numbers are for front pads, I need the rear.

Boy did I over look that...sorry!

xXZ-71Xx has the right match though. Those two trucks would share rear pads (Suburban dual piston same caliper as Silverado 1500 dual piston)

Thanks to everyone who has pitched in here. Question. When I put that part number in the search box at hawkperformance.com, it dosen't list the Silverado at all. Is the dual piston set up on Sliverados so rare that its never listed?

It's a pretty rare option on the 1500 Silverado's as far as far as I know. The 2500's like mine have your front calipers in the rear.

For rear dual pistons, you had to have an SS, Denali, or a normal truck with a higher payload

Yeah, I thought the SS's had them but I wasn't sure.

Gotcha. Does my truck have the dual piston calipers because it has the tow package?

My 03 1500 has the tow package and came stock with single. I upgraded the rears to the suburban duals and the larger fronts that the newer trucks have.
