Anyone Installed Pacesetter LTs On Their 2014+?

Yes, it runs fine. It is a little sluggish down low right now but I havent had it tuned for the headers yet. The only DTCs it shows right now are related to the O2 sensors. Runs and sounds great at WOT! Hopefully the tune will take care of the off idle sluggishness.

That's a little odd. I've heard several 6.2's with headers and they all sound just fine during idle and initial throttle tip-in, as far as I could tell they didn't have tunes on them. Hopefully a tune will fix that for you. Definitely sounds odd.

I hope the tune helps too. In that video it seemed to be worse for some reason. I just drove it to do a data log and it seemed ok to me. I think the part throttle and off idle fuel and spark definitely need to be tweaked though. WOT it feels very strong. Looking at the headers and the manifolds side by side there is a HUGE difference and I'm not running cats either so the tune will probably need to be changed a good bit. I'll let you know when I get my tune back from Lew.

I have a feeling you are really gonna like your truck once he gets back to you with his tune. Heard very good things about him.

Got the new tune back from Lew this AM and installed on the truck. Great customer service, sent him the log at about 6 last night and had the tune waiting for me in the AM. No CELs now and truck is running strong. Spoke with him about the off idle stumble, he said it would take the ECM about 150 miles to adjust to the new changes. Will do a WOT log after 50 miles and send it back to him. Wish I could get a 1/4 mile et for it after all the changes.

How are you finding the noise to be, during idle, daily driving, wot? I'm really debating getting some headers soon but am keeping my y-pipe catted, whether its the oem one or an aftermarket one. I think your Pacesetter Y-pipe is not-catted if I remember correctly.

I love the sound of it now. It is a lot louder than before. I plan on getting some tailpipes on to make it a little quieter. Doesn't have any drone though. I'm running the 22" Magnaflow dumped at the axle. WOT sounds awesome! I don't have any cats and I think that running cats will make it quieter. You will hear more valve train noise after the header swap because the pipes are thinner than the stock manifolds. It's a sound I'm used to from having headers on the older cars that I have. It's not loud, but you can definitely hear it.

I would recommend doing the headers, feels like it boosted power and its a lot more fun to drive now! You shouldn't have any issues going with the Kooks or ARH headers. I wasn't willing to pay that much for 25 HP though! I'm happy with the end result from the Pacesetters and would buy them again, and have a y-pipe made locally.

Glad you are happy with your Pacesetters. I am still a fan of ARH. Over the last ten years have had four sets and all of them fit perfectly and not one ever had a leak or developed a leak as time went by. My last set were on the truck for six years. Paid $1400 for them new and sold them for $1000 after I put the truck back to stock to sell it. Just my $.02 cents for today. Spurshot said it, he had too many problems and now won't run headers. Had the same experience when I was younger until ARH came along. To me, it is worth a little extra cost for the quality and to support a 100% American product.

    • Question @diyer2 on this line if you please. Are you saying the shudder is the system turning on and off at the frequency of the shudder? Guess I'm asking if you are saying you have seen it do this with the bi-direction scan tool in graph mode? If so have you been able to discern the 'trigger'. Something is telling to cycle rapidly.    My truck just started doing this recently. 197K on the clock. My response has been M5 anything under 55 mph. I treat it like a lugging stick shift. Gear down and let it spin a bit. Engauge M5, then tow mode and then M6 lets the trans stay in 5th but the AFM is active. Smooth like Skippy.    My thought was that as a machine ages the friction gets lower and as the system is load based, the lower friction would allow it to turn on at ever lower rpm until it reaches the lugging point. And yes I am ignorant of any minimum rpm requirement for the system. If you know that would be useful information.    As you know I run a Scan-Gauge II which allows me to watch the On/Off of the signal to the VLOM. While in the shudder mode I'm not seeing is cycle at that frequency or at all for that matter outside the triggers @newdude posted a few years back. Now is it possible that the refresh rate isn't fast enough to catch it? Maybe. It is why I asked my first question about graphing and trigging parameter.     As we have observed from members here the failure point is all over the map miles wise as you note yourself in your opening post. That by itself begs a few questions like fellows that comment on these lifters failing even after the system has been disabled.     • UPDATE 2: Steering wheel control backlights and control of the cluster can supposedly be achieved by adding a wire to pin 20 of the cluster and tapping it to pin 2 of the main clock spring harness. I'm going to give it a shot - will update  
    • GM Global A pickups 2019-2022 can do OTA programming for the radio.  GM VIP (GM Global B) can do OTAs for almost every module on board.  So a 2022.5 and newer pickup can do OTAs for recalls like the 2.7 fuel flow recall.  EVs get OTAs that improve one pedal driving, radio issues, HVAC issues, updated battery management software, etc.     So age of the vehicle/what GM electrical platform its on will alter what amount of updates can be pushed on OTAs.  
    • Thank You.   So far my new ride is making me look like a genius for going with the 3.0L, as my first fuel refill occurred over three weeks from when I took delivery.  This engine combination is very amazing.  So far no issues and had not done a regen yet.
    • I am curious as to how much fluid you put back in the transmission ( assuming you had replaced the filter to compare to my findings ) and then went through the process of warming up the trans before pulling the check plug to drain out the excess and if you measured how much came back out.    I just found it surprising that some claimed a certain amount less fluid being put in and then draining some back out. The attitude of the truck as per if the surface is level and how the trucks stance is would make quite a difference since the check plug is right at the front of the transmission.
