OK have a 2002 Chevy 1500 4x4 . I will be replacing the leaf springs with some new ones for a 2500 . What size bolts are used?? Thanks

2.5" wide u bolts. About 8.5-9" long. For mounting it is the same as the 1500. I just took a set off

I meant the bolts that connect them to the hangers , my bad . But good to know about the ubolts as well , thanks

Same u bolts should work if you have 4wd with the stock 2" blocks. But you should always use new u bolts. Also the HD springs sit about 1.5" higher than the stock springs so think about that. But front bolt and hanger bolt are 2 different sizes but both springs use the same size

I just did this about a month ago. One thing I found was dont mess around and try to do it without dropping the tank, just lower it and be done with it. I wasted 3 hours trying to get around it, dropped it and it maybe took 15 minutes.

I found a 2500 from the self pull yard by me and picked up a set for 15.00 a side. Yes one five dollars. The truck is night and day difference, the way is should have came from GM. I used the same bolts in mine.
