Better braking with big rims

Hello Guys, i just bought a 1997 z71 that's had a suspension lift and body lift done on it, Has a set of 28 inch rockstarr rims with 325/35/28 tires. It rides really good,

I was just wondering if upgrading the stock brakes would improve braking distance and response? Its not bad, but it is a bit noticeable when braking that the wheels are "heavy"

What brake upgrade would you recommend?

Also the steering is pretty good, its just not as TIGHT, is there any suggestions on what i can do to Tighten it up a bit?

Here is a picture of the truck i just purchased

Thanks in advance for your responses

wow, I don't have your answer but wow. Blow's my mind that people spend more on wheels than the vehicle is worth.

and it's a 4x4 to top it off. Bet it's great for offroading :)

To answer your question, no. The brakes are crap to begin with.
