would a 255/85/16 need calibration for the speedo, if so could the dealer do it?

I would check with your dealer. I think they can only calibrate for stock diameters.

I've heard they can calibrate up to a 265 sized tire. That's just word of mouth and not documented fact. A 255/85 would be taller than a 265/75 tire, so they could get close but not match if that is indeed the truth. Without knowing what tires came stock on your truck I can't say what the difference in speed would be.

BTW....what brand tire is that 255?

I believe you are correct. I know they couldn't go up to 285, and I believe the guy said the biggest size the computer would allow was 265.

MY stocks were 265's, I dont have the 255's yet but I will be getting them soon, I think i will get the super swamper trxus m/t in the 255. Thanks for the input.
