Power steering

[2015duramaxHD]

I have a 2015 2500HD duramax and I'm having some power steering issues, wondering if anyone else is having the problem. When I am backing up and I stop and put the truck in drive, I loose power steering until I give it gas. Also, I'm noticing that it's starting to get harder to steer in general. Also, not sure if it's related, but in starting to hear a faint humming when the truck is idle. Anyone else?

And I have a slight wheel shake when on straight smooth roads for no reason.

While I only have a 2015 2500HD Gas, the power steering should be the same and zero issues. Can even take my hands off the wheel for about 10 seconds with straight tracking.

 

I guess dealer service time... And verify the fluid level.

Dropping off tomorrow for service on Monday. I'll probably get the "everything seems fine to us" crap.

I think we have hydroboost on our rigs...are you noticing a difference in brake pedal feel?

I had a 99 with the same problem. Pump is likley bad.
