2013 silverado 2500 6.0 coolant leaking

As suspected the tech could not find a issue.

I dropped it off at 8,told the lady at the service desk the truck is leaving a puddle of coolant over night. It seems to leak faster as it cools. She said no problem, they will look at it and find any issue.

815 I get a phone call, I'm still in the parking lot waiting for my ride to get me. It's the lady saying that there is no leak and my truck is all set. Also wanted to know how I would be paying the $105 diagnostic fee. I asked if I could speak with the tech which is apparently against policy. Not really sure what tests could have been performed in 15min. Not to mention it seems to just leak when it's cold. (the engine)

After several minutes of explaining that to her she sighed and said I guess they can look into it further.

Your charging a hour shop time, at least wait a hour to call.

This sounds like the same service I got when I had issues with my wife's Jeep with a trans fluid leak. Keep after them and hold them to the fire for a fix.

So just got back from the dealer. What a joke.

Called and said that there is no coolant leaking. No lie there was a gallon of coolant under my truck. When I walked into the service the lady marched to me and says you can't get your keys until you pay. I tell her I'm not paying, she laughed and went and got the manager. I take him out to my truck and show him and then show him the slip that says no coolant leaking. He said they will fix it first thing in the morning. Maybe I do need to tell them how to do their job rob

Are you sure you aren't at the same service department I was at...dang!

Glad you were able to push back and show them the problem while still at the dealer.

Yup, after 3 hours of "research" they discovered it was leaking from where I said. The weep hole. I have a few pictures but they are to large to up load.

Showed up to get the truck and they had a bill for $890. After talking to the general manager I got it all covered by warranty.

I think I'd be more pissed at the fact that they tried to charge you for a problem they fixed and parts replaced that are 100% COVERED on the 5year/100k mile GM powertrain warranty. That's low on their part. You should not have had to talk to any manager at all. I'd be dealer hunting the next time there is an issue if that's the case.

Sorry it wouldn't let me upload them at once. The 2 pictures of the truck are when the dealer couldn't find the leak. That's how the truck was sitting when I went to pick it up "with no problems" all the on the ground is coolant.
