2013 silverado 2500 6.0 coolant leaking

I seem to have coolant leaking from the water pump . Truck has 20k on it. Called local dealer and they can't look at it for a week. Anyone hear of this before?

That is an odd one, I personally would definitely push for warranty for a truck so young in years/miles.

I just went under the truck with a mirror and it seems to be from behind the pump or the back of the pump. Maybe a sensor. I sprayed it with some soap and water. I'll try to get a better look at where it's coming from.

Yea, still have factory warranty. Truck was made 03/13 and has 20k. So I should have no issues. After looking at it more it seems to be coming from the seal behind the pulley

Doesn't matter where it's coming from !!!!! Just take it in !!! Don't tell them shit !!!!

You come here bitching on a warranty issue and your telling me that you won't tell the service advisor what you THINK is wrong after finding an issue here ?

Telling an advisor what to do is the worst thing , techs don't care what you think , trust me ,

Road testing a concern which is difficult to describe is different , I WANT TO SEE A CUSTOMER DO THIS with either the tech (difficult to do ) or the service manager .

People do this here all the time, makes me nuts ,,,,

If I'm off the mark on this say so , if I'm right , say that as well !!!

So should I just drop it off and say good luck? Find all the issues? Give me a break. I do diagnosis for a living. Customers can tell me what they think is wrong, doesn't mean that it's right but it's a good starting point. I'll do my own tests to figure out what the problem is. It's customer service skills.

I think saying coolant is leaking and it seems to be from that seal isn't telling them what to do. They are going to obviously check it out.

As suspected the tech could not find a issue.

I dropped it off at 8,told the lady at the service desk the truck is leaving a puddle of coolant over night. It seems to leak faster as it cools. She said no problem, they will look at it and find any issue.

815 I get a phone call, I'm still in the parking lot waiting for my ride to get me. It's the lady saying that there is no leak and my truck is all set. Also wanted to know how I would be paying the $105 diagnostic fee. I asked if I could speak with the tech which is apparently against policy. Not really sure what tests could have been performed in 15min. Not to mention it seems to just leak when it's cold. (the engine)

After several minutes of explaining that to her she sighed and said I guess they can look into it further.

Your charging a hour shop time, at least wait a hour to call.

Got to wonder if they even pressure tested the system or not. Does it leak hot or cold?

If it leaks hot it must evaporate to fast to see. When it sits for a few hours there is a puddle under the truck. My thoughts are the weep hole or a gasket. I've added 10oz of fluid over the past few weeks to keep it topped off.
