Rear Window Regulator Replacement 06 Sierra Crew Problem

Okay, I have a 2006 Sierra Crew Cab and the passenger rear power window started acting up. I ordered a new aftermarket right rear regulator for my specific truck model on eBay and just got around to replacing it. Ive replaced probably 7 of these in my life so it wasn't any big deal, easy off and on, irst time on this truck which I bought new in 2006. Put power to the switch and up is now down and vise vera... What gives? There's only 2 electrical connections, the one to the motor and the one to the switch and you can't put the on backwards. I didn't remove the switch from he door panel, only disconnected the electrical connection. It works fine but just backwards, which drives e nuts because I have ocd. So what's going on?

I sent the seller an email last night about the problem and they're sending me out another one and told me to just keep the first one. So we'll see what happens in a couple days when I get it.

Good luck man! I have done my share of regulators and they can be a pain. Like old gear operated ones that can cut a finger off if you're not careful.

Thought I'd post an update since it might help someone in the future. As I said, they sent me another assembly free of charge. Finally got around to looking at it, slaved it in and it does the same exact thing, up is down and down is up. Compared the rigging to the OEM part I removed and everything is identical, so I figured the motor turns the gear on the cable spool the oposite direction. My old motor was fine and the bolt pattern and gear are the same on the aftermarket part. So I swapped the OEM motor on to the replacement I just received. Plugged it and and it now works properly. I wound up with 2 window regulators for $37.84 shipped, and have some spare parts. If anybody was wondering the seller is amautoparts on ebay.
