Performance Tuner for 6.2L 8 speed

Well, I emailed Superchips, and they responded back that they don't have a tune yet for the 8 speed. So txmuder who did you talk to about your tune?

Did not get a name but it does work on my 2015 w/8spd 6.2L. I will call them and get back. I now that at first he (?) said no then told me to hold on and then said yes and told me which to buy (Flashpag tuner 2842) it came in, I followed the steps to download and then to upload the program onto the tuner above. But again I will check on my end.

From what I have read, the Flashpaq can tune everything but the 8 spd, they are still working on it. How does it work for removing the limiter? That's my main concern, flattening out at 98 when I am trying to pass someone sucks

You can remove the speed limiter with the tuner, it has nothing to do with the transmission tune

I just got off the phone with Superchips Tech Support, they do offer the 2015 Silverado w/6.2 & 8 spd programming but as I mentioned before you need to purchase the Flashpaq 2842 (2841 if in Cali) and the down load the upgrades onto it using the directions given with the new 2842 as I did. And yes it does offer 8 spd performance increase just not real aggressive of one. Mine shift hard and with more performance than in factory mode.

 

If you have questions call Tech Support for Superchips as they have not released this information on their website as of yet.

I see on there website it's now listed that they can tune the 8 speed. Txmuder what do you mean by yours shift hard? Is that with the tune?

Bigunit......I guess what I meant by shifting hard is that it shifts more aggressive than in stock settings but not as aggressive as some might want. In my 2012 Silverado w/6.2 I had the Hypertech Max Energy programmer and it was able to adjust the shift firmness from 0% to 100% firmer but at times even at only 25% settings it seemed to much so I actually am enjoying the way my 15' is shifting.

I have a superchips GM F5 2842 coming in this week from my local superchips authorized dealer. It is supposed to fully support the 2016 6.2 8spd. Only thing I do not know is if I can set my AFM to stay off at slow speeds and only work above 60 mph out on the highway like i want to. That would be awesome. I will try to remember to come back and report next week maybe someone can bump this thread and remind me if they are interested in a report?...................

Pretty sure the AFM is on/off and is active based on RPM's not MPH.
