"Special coverage" bulletin 15457 - diesel odor

Just picked up a new '15 GMC Sierra Denali DMAX LML 4x4 and thought I'd noticed a diesel odor. At first I thought I had just somehow left some on my hand from pumping gas...till I realized that I was smelling it on days when I hadn't filled up. Then I thought I must have just touched something inadvertently. Then there was a period where I thought I was just going nuts. banghead.gif

As the owner of another DMAX for the last 11 years, I thought I knew enough to know this was odd and that I should not be smelling diesel odor in the cab so I finally asked my local dealer's service department and the service manager said he'd read something about "Special coverage" bulletin 15457.

I've tried to find info and details on this online and haven't found anything yet, and I'd like to understand what the problem is and what's causing it. If anyone else has experienced this, or knows where to get details on "Special coverage" bulletin 15457, I'd love to hear from you.

Thank you in advance.

That's my post - I'm on both forums and was hoping that someone here might also have some insight.

The thread on the other page seemed pretty comprehensive. Either a problem with a seal or downpipe.
