2014 LED headlight conversion help?

I have a 2014 Silverado.

I'm currently on my second pair of led headlights and I just bought the truck in March. The first pair were from a customs shop, they recommended them to me when I asked for HIDs. There argument was that HIDs will burnout on the drivers side on the new body 1500s. Needless to say i loved the led replacements. They had the fan in the back and were just plug and play with no ballasts. They lasted maybe 5 months and the driver side burned out and started popping my fuse. I went to another customs shop looking for the Oracle led conversion kit but they gave me RacerSport brand. These have a ballast and haven't worked right since I got them. I've had them for 2 months now and they flicker and turn off when the truck is on. When I turn the truck off they come back on. I use to be able to turn the lights off and back on and that'd allow me to drive with them on. But now they just cut off right when the engine starts. And come back on when the engine is turned off. Also these are just the LOWs. The highs are still the old plug and play set(which also burned out but my lows and fogs are as bright as my highs so Im not worried about my highs right now)

Im almost $400 in just headlight bulbs. The next set I buy I want to be sure they last. But my question is, are these led ballasts faulty or is it my truck?

I had issues with LEDs too. I went with OPT7 LEDs and had nothing but trouble after a couple weeks. Seem to be related to heat problems, particularly due to the closed dust cap setup the new trucks have. I went with HIDs, just like I had in my old truck. Not a single issue yet. Also installed them on my dad's '15 and he hasnt had any issues either. I may try LEDs again one day after the technology matures more, but for now, HIDs are great and supply better light output/throw and saturation with the stock housings IMO.

I've been using them on my trucks since 2012 and have had next to zero issues.

I run the LEDs from Xenon Depot. I am swapping to HID, Morimoto with FXR projector swap. But if you like the LED- order the xenon depot H11's. Plug and play and works inside dust caps. They cost $90 total. Those custom shops took your head off with price. Really easy to install the Xenon Depot and they are pretty bright. No canbus connects and I've never had flickering and I run them in my lows and fogs.

I want a more focused low beam projection with a sharp cutoff. That's only obtainable through HID right now.

I'm getting new headlight housings soon with dual projectors so I'll try out the Xenons. It's good to here that they are plug and play and they fit inside the dust caps because I had to mutilate and throw my current dust caps away in order to fit my broken LEDs. But once I get the new housings and xenons I'll post a pic.
