Crank Position Sensor

So I've come to the conclusion that most likely my crank position sensor is leaking. I drips and drops on my starter. So my question here is can I pull the sensor, replace the O-ring and then just reinstall and all is good? I'm really hoping I do not have to do a crank relearn, but I need to know for sure before I go messing with it.
