1995 k1500

I may be aquiring a 95 k1500 ext cab 4x4. My question is this. I have a young one in a rear facing car seat. Will this safely fit in back seat? Do you have to put it in middle or would it go behind passenger seat? Anyone doing this now? I wouldnt be hauling young one in it everyday but at least couple times a week. Safe? Possible?

My 96 had plenty of room for what you are doing. I think the cab is the same, so you should be fine. I just don't remember what type of seatbelt was in the back.

Did you have room to put rear facing behind a seat or did you have to put it in the middle? Is this considered safe?

Trying to remember, because this was 16 years ago, but I think it just went behind the seat. I recall no issues.

 

I guess your best bet is to take the car seat and throw it in a truck and see what you get. AS I understand it in WA, as long as the seat is belted in properly, it is consider safe.
