Cold air intake for 2014 HD 6.0L

I need some help guys. I really like this truck.

I bought a used 2014 LT Silverado 2500 HD 6.0 Flex that was built in Nov of 2013. I am removing an AirAid cold air intake and putting a factory GM unit back in. The rear duct part that attaches to the intake has a baffle that lays on top of the motor.It is way off as far as the rubber bushing that sits on a pin that is on top of the motor-the hole is about 1" short of the pin. The top plastic engine cover sits on similar type pins that are larger. The part they sent me from a GM dealer is a 20872169. Is their a different part (rear duct) that was used prior to 2014? The dealer keeps telling me this is the right part. Would their be some offset that is used with this intake to make it fit?

Oh yea-the reason I am changing the Airaid unit is I am retired and not into noise.

I figured it out. They installed a throttle spacer from Airaid also. Since they installed an Airaid cold air intake they did not use the offset that came with the Airaid intake kit to reinstall the GM factory air intake tube.

I have decided to remove the throttle body spacer. The bolts are 6MM X (?) but I don't know what the length is. Can anyone tell me what length is of the original bolts from the factory to mount the throttle body or where to get the info. Torque values?

The one thing to remember if you install and aftermarket airt filter on ANYTHING, is this"

 

If you do the so-called "cold air" thing and make the air come from outside the engine compartment (eg: "cold air") you're gong to suffer from poor fuel mileage in the Wintertime. PERIOD!

 

While some might not admit this any trucker will tell you that in cold weather his mileage suffers up to 2 mpg's. And so will a 4 hell vehicle.

 

The solution? Junk the "cold air" idea and adapt a similar filter, using a short poiecxe of 4" exhaust tubing and keep the filter under the hood. I did this on my 2000 Dodge diesel 4x4 and got nearly 2 mpg better!!!!.
