Anybody have the Draw-Tite oval tube steps on their truck? How do you like them?

Those are definatly my second choice over the Westins.

I really like my Westin Ovals, but I'm currently waiting on a replacement for them because of a defective finish. If Westin doesn't get this problem figured out soon, I will have a set of the DrawTite bars on my truck...

In really like the looks of the oval tubesteps, and the Westin bars have a little bigger step surface, but the DrawTite bars look pretty darn nice, and I like the fact that they are chromed stainless as opposed to chromed aluminum.

That's a good looking bar too...

I see that it is stainless, but it doesn't say if it is chromed stainless or not. Manik makes a good looking stainless bar too, but it isn't chromed.

I prefer chromed stainless or aluminum, because I don't want to have to polish the bars. The chromed bars IMO would be less maintenance.

Do the westins fasten in the middle also? Or do they have supports out on the ends? ???

I don't know about the Westin bars for the excabs. But the crewcab bars have three mounting brackets.

The westin ovals have two brackets per side. They are positioned about 1/4 of the way in at each end. I'm leaning heavily to the Draw Tites because of the large step pad. Seems like it would come in handy for extra step space/positioning and when I wash the top of the cab.

The Smittybilts are simply stainless. I guess they would require regular polishing. The Draw Tites are chromed stainless.

What I like best about Westin is that they offer wheel to wheel bars, with an extra step to access the bed.. which is a real plus. Sure, I want short people to be able to get into the truck easier, but I also want the protection of my sides and doors that the bar offers - that shouldn't stop with the cab. The Westin's are the next thing I plan to buy for the truck.. so poor...
