Factory Seat Heaters?

Just bought a 2015 Silverado LT 1500. The I have has many options that were important to me, EXCEPT heated seats. My buying experience with the local dealer was great, and I did indeed get a very good deal (did lot's of homework before buying).

 

Part of the deal, was that the dealer would install "factory" heated seats on my new rig, and tha this was "no problem," and it would look and operate as if it came from the factory. Scheduled my appointment with the service department, and talked over the work with the rep. COMPLETELY different story from this guy. Dude is saying that the controls WON'T be like the factory controls, and they'll be located on the side of the seats!

 

Anyone here gone through a similar experience with factory/non-factory seat heaters?

 

Really want the seats to operate like the factory heated seats, and want the controls on the console.

What do you have in writing from when you ordered the truck ?

Sad to say, but verbal promises aren't worth the paper they are written on.

yep I had heated seats added to a new 2011 1500 and my now new 2015 2500 there both have the lighted switch mounted neatly on the lower part of each seat. It doesn't bother me, just slide my hand down and flip it up for both top and bottom heat or flip it down for lower heat only. Work nice and toasty warm when needed, I didn't expect the buttons to be mounted in the dash or where ever they go so I was good with it.
