My Thoughts/Notes From My 6" Lift

New member, been a bit of a lurker but decided I'd post my experience so far with my lift. Coming from an 05 Tacoma (lifted, etc.) this truck is quite different.

Specs...2015 Silverado LT Z71, All Star Editon. 5.3 V8, Crew Cab

-6" BDS lift (non-coilver), rear Fox upgrade

-35x12.50R20 Toyo MTs

-20x10 Fuel Mavericks

-Flowmaster 40 series, single in dual out

Ride:

Definitely lost some ride quality here. I'm attributing this more to the tires/wheels, with the Toyos being an E load range and the wheels being 20". I can feel a lot more bumps in the road than I did before.

Gas Mileage:

Took a fairy bad hit here, as expected with the heavy tires. Did not regear (yet). Went from an average of about 17 with my driving habits down to around 12. I don't do much highway driving right now, being in school, so that's mostly based off of city driving.

Power Loss:

Nothing major at all. I didn't even have the truck for 1000 miles before I lifted it, so it's not like I got used to stock very much. Haven't towed anything with the new tires yet though.

Vibrations:

I did notice I slight vibration at ~65+ mph that I didn't have before. Got used to it within an hour of highway driving and don't even notice it anymore.

Transmission temp:

Even with a long day of driving, I monitored the temp and it never got above 196 degrees. Not horrible, and will probably regear in the near future regardless.

Exhaust:

Love the Flowmaster. Not too loud/raspy, but definitely has a good roar to it. When in V4 mode, you can tell the difference, it's basically just a drone unfortunately. However, with the heavier tires, the engine is barely ever in V4 mode anyways.

Any other questions feel free to ask! Just thought it couldn't hurt to share my experience so far with the mods.
