Tire pressure sensor

Sorry if this has been asked recently. I couldn't find anything on a newer GMC. I'm looking to go with a different tire Toyo open country 295/70/18 that will not need as much air pressure. Is there a way of changing the settings for the sensors? I called the dealer and they said no that my sensor light will stay on. I would think there would have to be a way?

There is a way for the dealer to do it, most won't, as it is a liability thing they feel. I just dismiss the DIC message and ignore the warning light. Doesn't bother me at all and doesn't distract me. But then, running around rural gravel and off road, I frequently don't have seat belts on either, and that warning light is always there. Again, I just ignore it and it means nothing to me.
