Rattle behind the 8 inch touch screen

Tried looking on this forum but I don't see any post of this yet.

I have a 2014 with the 8 inch touch screen and today the rattle behind the dash got really crazy. I've noticed the rattle before but only when I go over very rough roads but today, every little bump, I can hear the rattle. I can now hear it when I tap the Dash behind the touch screen, sounds like something came loose back there. Since I've had this truck, I've had to fix a few rattles already, the kick panel, driver side switches.. etc. Anyone fix this one yet? I want to save time after I take the console out if someone can point me to exactly what is rattling back there.

I have also had this issue but be bad part was that I really noticed it after I had a system hooked up to my truck do I always thought it was the multiple wires add to the stock deck but now I'm curious as to what it really is? Did you by any chance add any subs?

On my truck a similar rattle began after I installed a leveling kit. Turned out to be the piece of the dash that covers the windshield defroster vent. Found a youtube video and added the duct tape as they showed and it solved the problem. Sounds ghetto but solved my rattle issue.

I just had my truck leveled a few weeks ago as well... I'm getting my windshield replaced in a couple of days, then I'm going to remove the console to see what's rattling back there. I saw the video that you are referring to, my dash looks very different for some reason. It's 1 big piece, I don't have that separate piece under the windshield and I have 2 speakers on each side of the windshield.

When I tap the dash, it sounds like a thick wire is banging against the dash, will update once I have time to take it apart.

If you Google 2014 silverado dash rattle you will find the video I used and hopefully it helps. My dash also has the speaker grilles on each side. I tried posting a link but it wasn't working correctly.
