Front license plate removal

I want to remove front plate and I know there are rivets, seems like 2 on top and 2 on bottom though under the truck I can only see 2 go through. If I drill all 4 out will there be 4 holes? And is there a filler plate to use in replacement? Mine is a 2015 z71 crew cab, thanks for the help!

Yes there will be 4 holes.

No there is no filler plate.

 

You can get some plastic plugs at any body shop or auto parts store. You will need to drill the rivets out with the right size drill bit for the plugs. Paint the plugs with some matching touch-up paint then push them into the holes. It doesn't look great but it may be better than having the front plate frame. In my case I just bought a "Silverado" plate off ebay and mounted it on the bracket.

Yea 2 holes look to go thru the black plastic section and 2 look to go thru the silver trim piece so that maybe tough
