Denali front diff questionz

Working on the wife's daily driver 2008 denali. Started making a grinding noise back in december. Long story short.... after tearing out the front diff, found a cracked case and a pile of bearings inside. Question is this... on a budget so, to start with, what other gm models will interchange with the awd gmc front diff in my suv? (GU6 code) How many different sizes were there? I assume I can't modify just a 4x4 version from a truck or tahoe. (Donor Denalis with low miles are chickens teeth). So I also assume I am looking at $1100 or more for a rebuilt part. Sure would be nice to keep it around 5 to $600... Doin all the work myself so will save on shop bill...any input is greatly apreciated... thanks Brad

Check out this link at Yukon Gears. Looks like the AWD Denali uses the same 8.25 IFS front end that the 4wd models use too. But there is a difference in years so you'll want something from 99-09 and it looks like the Denali came with 3.42's stock.
