Pictures with Cap

Well I finally got my cap back from the paint shop and put the windows into it. As I mentioned earlier I bought this from a friend off his Dodge Ram truck and the fit is great with a little modification.

This will be great while we can put gear into the back without getting wet while we tow our Travel Trailer around this summer.

Looks good. What mods did you make to get it to fit right? My last truck was a Dodge, but it was black and a long bed. It was a good reason to get all new accessories for the Chevy!!

Since most of us have that heavy plastic tailgate protector the rear door would not close properly on the cap. What I did was add 1/4" plywood strips along the 2 side rails and 1 up front which elevated the cap so that the rear door would open and close properly. I added some black edgetape along the plywood sides for an almost unoticeable look.

If you have the thinner tailgate protector it will fit fine.
