2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Tuner

Hello,

 

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3. I notice last oil change that I was around 2-2.5 quarts low on oil. I know this is a common issue with these AFM engines. Is 2-2.5 quarts terrible or pretty normal? Is it to late to put a tuner on to improve the oil consumption? If I tune it and turn AFM off will it get better or stay the same? Last but not least what is the best tuner/programmer for my truck? Best bang for your buck? Thanks in advance!

I also have an 08, but with the 6.0L. I would highly recommend a Blackbear Performance tune.

so out of all the tuner options you would go with blackbear? What do you like about your blackbear tune?

The tune took away what they call torque management, so the truck has the power the engine was equipped with. The acceleration is there when needed. The truck shifts smooth as well.
