What should I be paying for a distributor install & timing?

Long story short, I picked up a 1997 K1500, had a miss, hard to start, rough idle. Installed new intake gaskets, old ones were crap, installed the new MPFI spider, I hooked everything back up but then found out my oem distributor had a cracked housing. Brought truck to a reputable shop with a new AIP distributor from Amazon, since I was using a friends cramped garage to work on it and just wanted to get it done. Shop says they can't get it to run with that one, so I bought another from NAPA this time for 200$ with a metal housing.

What can I expect to pay to have them just install a distributor and set the base timing? That's all I asked them to do, on day #2 now and getting worried since anytime I've ever paid someone to work on my vehicles, I always get ripped off.

Well, they put in the new distributor and set timing to 0 degrees, 385$ labor bill. Ran like crap though after warming up, so I put in a new coolant temp sensor, and finally runs good. But now I have a squeeling belt issue, with new pulleys and a new belt.

Hard to find a shop that won't rip people off around here. I guess they spent about 4-5 hours doing it apparently. My Bluetooth scanner wouldn't read the correct cam retard/advance, so what's done is done I guess.
