choosing gmc over chevy

It will be at least a couple years until I can afford a new truck. I have only owned chevy before and plan on buying a used crew cab silverado until the day comes when I can finally get my dream truck. Until the 2016 came out I was planning on my dream truck to be a Silverado. I have seen them in every trim level and still the front end/hood ruin it for me. Especially dislike it in the color I want - white. So I have decided my new dream truck when the time comes to buy will be a white gmc sierra crew slt 4wd with hopefully 6.2 and all terrain package. I love the look of the new gmc. My question is why is the sierra at least a few grand more than a similar equipped Silverado? Are there any advantages to the sierra? Also are they planning any gm body style changes in the new future? If they do a Silverado style change in the next couple years I may reconsider but until then I have my sight set on the sierra. Also any engine changes coming? Id love the 6.2 and hope its still available by the time im ready or a half ton diesel as an option

At this point, the GMC is usually the more nicely equipped of the two options and, the last I checked, there's no work truck (base) package available from GMC, only from Chevrolet. If you're spec'ing them out with the same features, the pricing should be very close between the two.

Its hard to say when they'll be doing a facelift on the trucks again. Most of us expected the 2014 style to last five or six years before a facelift between platform updates but apparently two was the magic number.
