P1125 and P0496

So my truck keeps going into reduced power mode, I can usually clear the codes and back on the road. But Lately it's been getting worse. I have an 04 2500 with a 6.0 and 143000 miles. Here's the other thing after I fill up the tank the truck hesitates for about 2seconds on start up, only after I fill up. Any help would be great, and if you need any more info I'll be more than glad to provide what I can. Thank you.

well, what codes the truck keeps reporting and what they mean would be a start.

The P0496 on an 8.1 is the evaporitve canister code.

 

My 8.1 throws this constantly ONLY during cold winter months(Below 40F) if engine is cold say sitting overnight.

 

Also, if a good warmup of engine it will NEVER throw it. Or during warmer months.

 

The only way to recreate it is when its cold out, start vehicle and start driving.

 

I've never had dealer F with it since they do more damage than good.
