2016 Intellink and phone contacts

So today...magically...my phone stop recognizing the contacts in my phone Galaxy S5.

 

Where as before, I could press the talk button and say "Call John Smith on mobile", it no longer recognizes that command.

 

The only thing that looks different is that in mind phone contact list on the Intellink screen, I see the numbers and not the names.

 

Don't know what happened after 5 month of perfect operation.

Android Auto works fine though and calling a contact through the phones bluetooth connection (long press) works fine.

 

What the heck happened.

Check your phone settings for security, perhaps something changed?

I can't for the life me imagine what may have changed.

 

I deleted the phone and reinstalled it. Now my contacts show with names on under contacts, but it still won't let call via contact name.

 

It just says, say the name of the destination.

Tried my wife's s6 as well. Same thing so it's the truck.

 

I just reset all the Intellink settings. Sucks. Wiped everything.

 

But it's working again.

 

I don't know what changed in the truck from last night through today.

Mine just started this today. Worked fine last night and this morning it's crazy. I will try resetting everything also.

Mines been fine since the reset. You just gave gp into the vehicle customizations and put everything back.

 

Just one of the many glitches in GM vehicles, or as GM calls it... "it's a feature".

 

By any chance, have you done the MVI nav/video unlock on your truck?

That's one of the options. We're discussing it is was associated with the unlock update I did.

 

I didn't think it had anything to do with it. Pretty sure it's just an Intellilink glitch.
