Tow Capacity

Hello,

 

I was just wondering what the tow capacity (actual) of a 1500 ext cab 4x4 5.3L auto is? The Ford F150 is around 8600lbs calculated but I doubt that truck will actually pull and stop 8600lbs. So I was just wondering what it would be for a 1500?

GM says that an 1500 excab shortbed auto 4X4 with 4.10's is rated to tow 9000 lbs...
