Mainly concerned about someone backing into the light bar and lamps. Looked under the bumper to see what clearance there was for drilling, when I was surprised to see GM had made provision for just this situation. In the shared photos you will see 2 x 1/2" holes in the bumper metal. Further, they reinforced the plastic fascia with a box to support around the hole for taking the pressure to tighten the mounting bolts. For this specific install - PIAA 520 driving lights in yellow for better contrast in the rain, and less back reflection. Had to get 2"x 3/8 bolts as the supplied bolts were a bit short. Plenty of clearance behind the light for the grill. Thought this might be good info for anyone else considering same.
