Adding XM to a 2015 Sierra Base with I04

Hi Everyone!

 

Totally a newb question, but I am wondering if it is possible to add XM to my 2015 Sierra base. It has the 4.2" screen, cd/am/fm/Intellilink system and is IO4 according to the RPO codes in by glovebox, just no XM. I managed to pick up an I04/I05/I06&U2K module cheap, and wondering if it is possible to do a straight drop in, or is it VIN locked like the HMI module and need to be programmed? Or is it... a paperweight? lol!

 

I have the 8" screen and an IO5 module that I'm planning on getting programmed and installed at some point (as soon as I can find someone to do it), but want to finish one thing at a time.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
